Questions For Self-Discovery

I recently read a blog post by Thepatchworkfox who found a self-discovery list on Pinterest that was created by and I decided I'm going to be that person who goes "Hey, y'know what, I wanna do that too!".

 If you're looking to learn a little bit more about yourself why not copy the questions and do them yourself!

How do you feel at the moment?
Tired and bored. 

What do you need more in my life?
Time and Money.

What would make you happy right now?
Having more time and money to do things, I miss my social life. 

What is going on in your life?
Currently focusing on completing my apprenticeship and finding a new job after I've completed it. Focusing on my mental and physical health. Trying to fix my sleeping pattern.

What are you grateful for? List at least 10 things.
My family, my computer, having a roof over my head, creativity, being semi healthy, being alive, fried chicken, my mum, new opportunities, colours. 

When did you experience joy this week?
I mean, it's only Tuesday, let's give it time?

List all your small victories and successes.
Going to therapy, walking more, being alive.

What is bothering you? Why?
Finding a new career, what do I do after my apprenticeship if I can't find a job? Would it have been a waste of time?

What are your priorities at the moment?
Being healthy, physically and mentally. 

What do you love about yourself?
The spouts of creativity I have.

Who means the world to you and why?
My Grandad, we don't speak much but I don't know what I'd do without him. He is the most amazing person I know. 

If you could share one message with the world, what would it be?
Be kind to one another. 

What advice would you give your younger self? (Do you follow this advice now?)
Don't care about what others think you of you, be yourself, it's their loss if they don't like you.. And maybe cut down on the amount of bread and pizza you eat.

What lesson did you learn this week?
I shouldn't take crap from someone because they make me feel bad about a situation. 

If you had all the time in the world, what would you want to do first?
Learn to drive. 

What's draining your energy? How can you reduce or cut it out?
Napping at stupid times. I need my normal sleeping pattern back.

What does your ideal morning look like?
Waking up naturally, raining outside, hot chocolate with cream and comfy pajamas. 

What does your ideal day look like?
A self care day to myself. Not having to worry about going out or being any where. Taking time to look after myself.

What makes you come alive? When was the last time you felt truly alive?
I feel alive when I'm with friends who love me for me, creating new things, being myself. 

What/Who inspires you the most? What are you drawn to about those inspirations?
Loey Lane, a plus size YouTuber inspired me to love myself. I love everything she does and stands for and I think she's an amazing person. 

Where does your pain originate? What would you need to happen for you to heal?
Mental pain from around my childhood, I blamed myself for my parents divorce for a long time and sometimes I still do. Physical pain, mainly my left leg from Cellulitis I had a few years ago which resulted in mild Lymphedema, my leg has never been the same since..

What are your strengths? What are you really good at?
I like to think I'm good at writing when I have ideas, doodling, cooking, being a caring person.

What is something you've always wanted to do but were too scared?
Sky dive. 

What is something you would love to learn?
British Sign Language. 

What hobbies would you like to try?
Photography, BSL, cooking more..

Where would you want to live in your ideal life?
I'd love to have my own place that looked a bit like Carrie Bradshaw's apartment in Sex & the City.

Where would you like to travel in the next five years?
Japan, Santorini, Amsterdam & the USA.

What can you do to take better care of yourself?
Eat more healthily, speak to someone when I'm feeling down instead of withdrawing myself. 

When have you done something that you thought you couldn't do?
The job I do now, even though it's only an apprenticeship, I was out of work for a year before I was offered this job and was so scared to start. Now I love it. 

At the end of your life, what do you want your legacy to be?
I just want to be remembered for being myself.
